Taylor is both farmer and florist. She owns and runs Sievers Blumen Farm, which is a fresh-cut flower farm in rural Illinois. She was raised on a grain and cattle farm, and grew up participating in 4-H, FFA, and horse shows. When she’s not farming, working in her cut flower farm, or writing, she enjoys wild plant identification and learning about plant history.
Taylor has a Master’s degree in Plant, Soil and Agricultural Systems from Southern Illinois University which she obtained in 2016. Her main focus was cover crops and soil fertility. She and her husband are working toward their goal of a self-sustaining homestead. You can follow along with her cut flower farm and homesteading journey at www.sieversblumenfarm.com.
