February Giveaway: General Hydroponics 3 Part Flora Series Nutrients

I just got back from Home Depot to set up some more hydroponic systems for a family friend and I thought to myself, “What about all of the people that read this blog?  What can I do for them?”  I know that it’s been a little slow here lately, but I wanted to thank each and every one of you who have subscribed, commented, or even just browsed the site – you are all why I keep writing and experimenting in urban gardening.

To thank you, I’m giving away a General Hydroponics 3 Part Flora Series pack of nutrients.  These nutrients are wonderful for beginners and more advanced gardeners as well.

Just started all my herbs, fruits, and vegs, for the summer. Thanks for this blog, just found it yesterday and it’s already giving me some inspiration!

    • Kevin says:

BOOM! Sounds like you’re going to have a huge harvest… Feel free to reach out if you need any help!

    • Rachel says:

Nothing now because it’s winter in Canada… but I’m planning for a community garden!

      • Kevin says:

Start some seeds indoors! Maybe even set up a little indoor garden…you’d be surprised what you can produce inside your house :)

Community gardens are AWESOME. I just left mine due to some politics, but thankfully I have a backyard to grow in now. Thanks for entering, good luck!

  2. Ana says:

I’m growing hops and salad greens on my tiny balcony right now.

  3. Javier says:

  4. Vicen says:

Right now, I’m growing kale, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, lettuce, spinach, celery, romanesco broccoli and marijuana. :)

  5. Matt says:

We grow anything that we can eat! :)

  6. Matt says:

    I’m growing tomatoes!

  7. Colin says:

Kitchen herbs (sweet basil, Thai basil, flat leaf parsley, rosemary and thyme). Just started seeding veggies for the summer.

    • Kevin says:

Nice, Colin. Herbs are some of the most cost effective plants to grow because they’re outrageously priced in store ($2.99 for a few sprigs of rosemary?!). Would love to know what veggies you’re planting!

  8. Bill says:

Just came from your reddit thread about the nutes contest – I’m planning on putting together an ultra-cheap DWC setup to grow tomatoes, basil and possible hop starters in the next month or so. Having starter nutes would help immensely! I just bought a house last year, money is tight but I love the concept of hydroponics and plan on “growing” my set-up as money and time allow and your website has certainly fueled my interests.

    • Kevin says:

      Bill,

That’s awesome! If you’re doing a cheap DWC, I’d recommend signing up for my email list…I wrote a 22 page book on building a pretty cheap DWC for herbs/etc that I send out to everyone who signs up for free :)

Hope you win the contest, and congratulations on buying the house. Hit me up if you have any questions whatsoever!

  9. Kari says:

I’m just setting up, so hopefully I’ll be growing something soon!

  10. Nathan says:

Just started some Jalapenos, Tomatoes, Basil, and MMJ

  11. Matthew says:

Currently starting up a bunch of peppers (hot and bell) from saved seeds and trying to start some carrots, cucumbers, etc. Also have the two pepper plants I keep as house plants I’m trying to whip into shape, and a mint plant that’s been on death’s door for a while that I’m hoping will make a comeback.

  12. trinidad says:
